November, 7 -14  2009

The Dalton development in three Brno Dalton schools got  a new impulse during a workshop about creating their 'Dalton Card'.

Every school wrote their own statements about Dalton.

The 'Daltonske Karta' will be used to inform parents and others about Dalton.


October, 21 -22  2009

The initiative to start with a Dalton introduction in Poland was a great success.

On 21 October more than 60 teachers and students participated in a seminar in Lódz.

The organization was in the hands of Anna Sowinska and Anna Wróbel.

 

On 22 October Roel Röhner and Hans Wenke continued with lectures and workshops at a conference in Warsaw.
12 teachers from Ukraine took part in this conference organized by the Polish department of OMEP.  


October, 15  2009

The 'Delftse Dalton School' became Member of Dalton International. The official plaque was granted by Vladimir Moskvan and Roel Röhner in the presence of all the children of the school. Head teacher Christianne Ahuis and Joyce Wierda as contact person for D.I. proudly show the evidence of their membership.












October 2009

From 28/9 - 1/10 a delegation from Dalton schools in Brno/CZ Visited their partner schools in Leeds.
One of the topics during the schoolvisits was 'Global Learning'. Chris Edwards and Jenny Hill from the Educational Department Organized together with Jodie Driver an interesting programme.
An international conference in Leeds will be feasable in 2011.

The 5th Dalton Conference in Györszemere / Hungary took place.

 

 
February 27 2009

Roel Röhner and Hans Wenke wrote their 4th book.
Under the title ‘Dalton, do it differently’, they challenge teachers and pupils to be creative in
making their assignments and to work on their portfolio.
Many practical action guides, didactical structures and examples of free choice assignments
can be used immediately.  With the “Dalton board play“ , added to the book, the authors want to stimulate school teams
to exchange together the vision on Dalton permanently.
The book comes out March 16Th 2009

 

February 5 2009
 

The first official Dalton conference in Slovakia took place at 5.February 2009.
An audience of more than 120 educators followed several presentations.

  November 11-12 - 2008 - Brno 

The yearly Dalton teacher training took place in Brno on 11 and 12 November.

More than 150 participants from Czech Republic and Slovakia could participate

in several workshops and listened to speeches of Hans Wenke and Roel Röhner.

Two new Dalton schools were certificated during the opening of the conference.

A delegation from Utrecht/NL with vice-mayor Rinda den Besten visited several

schools in Brno and representatives from partner schools in Brno and Utrecht

made concrete appointments for the future co-operation.

The "serviceagentur Ganztägig Lernen" and the "Käthe Kollwitz Gymnasium" organized a conference under the title:

'DALTONPLAN, ein reformpädagogisches Modell zur Förderung selbständigen Lernens',

The Dutch Dalton consultants Roel Röhner and Hans Wenke were invited to give lectures and workshops for a group of 70 teachers from different schools. At the end of the conference  the 'Dalton network Germany' was founded.

  May 25-30 2008

A group of 30 students from 'Private Pädagogische Hochschule Linz' came to the Netherlands to study the Dalton education. Every year a group students from Linz stay in Hotel Rhijnauwen, this year for the 11th time.

Leader of the group is Edeltraut Mattes.
Roel Röhner gave a seminar to introduce the educational concept.
The group visited Dalton school 'Apollo 11' / De Meern and Dalton school 'De Buut' / Soest.

Annemarie Wenke gave an introduction about the Dalton program at the 'Katholieke Pabo Zwolle' and the 30 students from Linz made contact with Dalton students of this institute.

  May 10 2008

Dalton school Husova in Brno celebrated the 125 years anniversary.
The building was opened on 12th May 1883 with a golden key and at
t
hat time the school was called  “School of Crown Prince Rudolf” after
Prince Rudolf of Habsburg.
With an historical exposition the school invited on Saturday 10th May many guests to get an impression of the former and actual situation.

The school is Dalton School since 1996.

In the week of the International Dalton Conference the Základní škola Horácké náměstí from Brno got the membership of Dalton International. The headmistress Mgr. Ivana Melichárková proudly received the official plaque.

  April 11-12 2008

The "Private Pädagogische Hochschule der Diözese Linz" has started
a Dalton further training course: "Lehrgang Daltonplan - Pädagogik".

Edeltraut Mattes is the motor behind the Dalton development.

During two days a group of 25 teachers followed several Dalton seminars and workshops given by Edeltraut Mattes and Roel Röhner.

March 27 2008

The 4th Dalton Conference in Györszemere / Hungary took place.

Dalton teachers from Czech Republic gave workshops

and Roel Röhner and Hans Wenke gave two speeches during
the opening of the conference and workshops later that day.


More than 100 teachers from all parts of Hungary participated in this confernce.

 

Tha Mayor of Györszemere invited the organizers and the international guests for a dinner in the beautiful renovated local Townhall.
