A group of teachers and officials from Brno visited the city of Leeds / UK

A group of teachers and officials from Brno visited the city of Leeds / UK from
4 - 9 Oktober 2004. Hans Wenke and Roel Röhner were invited to join the group
to take part in the conference.
A new link between Leeds and Brno lead to a conference with the theme :
'personalized learning' and it gave the delegation the opportunity to introduce  the Dalton concept.

An official reception offered by the Lord Mayor in the Civic Hall of Leeds was the highlight of the first day.

Several school visits gave the visitors a good insight in the excellent level of the education in the UK.
'Classroom education, effective teaching and self-directed learning are the essential ingredients of developing potential and raising aspirations'

The Leeds and Brno educational communities shared good and best practice in 'Teaching and Learning styles in 21st Century Europe' and will apply this in their daily work where possible and practical.
