9 June 2004 an official delegation from Brno and Utrecht
visited Northern Ireland on invitation of the Millington Primary
School
and the Southern Education and Library Board. |

The
organizer of the programme, Mr. Derek Holden
(principal of the Millington Primary School in Portadown)
showed the group beautiful parts of the country, driving the
schoolbus by himself. |

Holden arranged several official receptions. |
 |
| |
|
| The
deputy mayor of Belfast gave the delegation the official city
plaque. |
 |
| |
|
The group
was invited at "Stormont', the Northern Irish parliament.
The foreign delegation was supported by representatives from the
Millington Primary School and the chairman of the schoolboard,
Mr. David Millie.
The chairman of the education committee, Mr. Danny Kennedy, spoke
with
the delegation about education and the effect of international
contacts. |

| Mr. Paul
Burroughs, head of the Socrates/Comenius office of the British
Council, honoured the 'Comenius Times' newspaper project with a
European award. During the reception the awards were given to Mr.
Slavotinek and Roel Röhner. |

A
reception and a lunch offered by the mayor of Craigavon completed
this trip.
