Holland College VMBO – Dalton in Naaldwijk
We are a secondary modern school in Naaldwijk in The Netherlands and work according to the Dalton principles, hence our name Holland College Dalton VMBO-TL. It is a school for pupils aged 12 to 16. We are looking for another school interested in taking part in an e-mail project.

The idea is that our pupils (14-15 year olds) communicate
with other pupils of roughly the same age from countries within the European
Union. We would like them to do so during school hours and in their own
time. We are looking for secondary schools, preferably Dalton schools.
It is important that our pupils and your pupils communicate with each other
in a language other than their native language, in our case this could be
English or German.
Our aim is to
intensify this contact in the form of projects.
We hope that in two years’ time this could lead to an exchange of both
pupils and teachers.

The
first Dalton school in Bergen/Norway
will be
realized in September 2004 as is the result of the enthusiasm of two
teachers, Mona Skjonhaug and Ruth Jensen.
Both visited the International Dalton Conference i
n Brno/Czech Republic 2003 and made contact with several Dalton specialists.

Dalton development in Slovakia
Ideas to start a Dalton development in Slovakia came closer in October 2003.
During a Dalton seminar in Brno the two originators of the Slovakian
initiative Viera Ondercova and Edita Simcikova made concrete appointments
with Czech and Dutch Dalton consultants.
The first Slovakian Dalton seminar will take place on 21 January 2004 in
Presov.
